The Slingshot Sci-Fly XR V2 kite surfboard returns as the premier modern shortboard designed for aerials and powered-up, progressive freeride kitesurfing. Redesigned with a completely new hull and quad fin configuration, this new version has even more grip and hold to perform at your best.

The Slingshot SCI-FLY XR V2 2023 is Slingshot's progressive freeride shortboard, with an optimal balance between weight, power, and performance. This year the SCI-FLY XR V2 2023 has been upgraded with a new Triple Channeled Hull. These three advanced channels that run over the bottom of the surfboard provide stiffness and extra pop, to go even higher for strapless freestyle tricks. In addition, these channels provide extra grip and better upwind performance. Also new this year is the fin setup. We are used to a thruster fin setup of the SCI-FLY XR V1, but to get even more performance from the second version, we opted for a Quad Fin setup. Thanks to this new fin arrangement, the SCI-FLY XR V2 2023 has more drive and grip, while preventing the rear end from loosening during hard turns.
The SCI-FLY XR is made with a so-called XR construction. Bamboo is used in the SCI-FLY XR V2 2023, combined with carbon stringer, which together ensures that the surfboard feels super lively underfoot. In addition, the XR construction makes the SCI-FLY XR V2 super strong and lightweight, so you get the real surfboard feeling without having to worry about the surfboard giving up. Along the tail of the SCI-FLY XR, 3K carbon rail savers have been used to prevent rips, heel nicks and damage from hard landings. The SCI-FLY XR has without a doubt everything to push yourself and the kiteboard to the maximum!
The tail has such a shape that it gives more than enough grip during turns and releases super clean from the water if you want to pop for a freestyle trick. The Slingshot SCI-FLY XR V2 2023 comes with FCS II Reactor Fins. These fins are of very high quality and can be attached to the surfboard without any tools thanks to a click-in and click-out system. The Fins are easy to use, fast, convenient, and safe.
