The XLITE 2 answers the call for a dedicated, high-performance foil kite. A no-compromise one strut inflatable with features unique to the niche discipline of foiling. 30% lighter than our fantastic Universal+ Series Nexus, the XLITE 2 drifts in virtually no wind and will stay in the sky even when pumping through a lull.

The big news is Core have replaced the canopy with CoreTex 2.0 and expanded the sizes on both ends. The new canopy material adds more muscle and durability -a big plus- for single strut kites. Core added 2 and 3-meter sizes for slicing up the Gorge and a 13.5m for those super-light summer breezes. It wasn’t easy to shrink the XLITE 2 so we heavily modified the bridle, panels, and shape to accommodate the new smaller sizes.

One of the defining attributes of foiling is the ability to go kiting in conditions that would be unavailable to a traditional twintip or wave kiteboard, and in order to achieve this, a specialized kite is required, enter the Xlite 2! Originating as a hybrid of two specific Core kites; the Section and the Nexus, by utilising the phenomenal wave properties of the Section with the power of the Nexus in super light winds! The Xlite 2 is a kite that can be both sized down and with an increased canopy aspect ratio to ensure that the kite stays ahead of the foil.

In order, to achieve these incredible properties the Xlite 2 went through a comprehensive lightweighting program in order to shed an incredible 10% in weight, for a kite that allows riders to still foil in 8-10 knots! To achieve this incredible weight reduction Core experimented with new leading edge materials and bridles until they were completely satisfied, settling with the CoreTex canopy for added support and power to the one strut design, ExoTex Light leading edge for a strong dacron material that is 10% lighter and lastly a thinner, anti-snag bridle that further reduces weight and improves water relaunching. 

With perfect kite balance and super direct bar feel, the Xlite makes learning new moves a blast!

Speed Valve 2: The Speed Valve 2 connects directly to any standard 20mm OD twist lock pump hose. The Speed Valve 2 maximizes airflow, minimizes inflation times and noticeably reduces pump pressure. This inflation/deflation system is so good you may even have the energy for an extra trick or two.
