The S2AS Team only go to the best Kitesurf spots in the world at the correct time of year. July is the ultimate time to experience the thrill of kitesurfing in Egypt, with optimal wind conditions and warm temperatures.
We travel to the best kite destinations during their peak seasons. October in Tarifa is ideal: the massive summer crowds have faded, but the Levante and Poniente winds are still blowing strong. Expect warm days in the low to mid 20s°C, solid wind conditions, and sessions that stretch well into golden sunsets.

KITE SIZES AND CONDITIONS IN TARIFA:
For Tarifa, an intermediate adult male (around 80kg) will typically need a 7m – 12m kite, with a 9m being the most commonly used. Wind conditions here can vary with the Levante and Poniente winds, so be sure to check the Tarifa forecast a few days before departure to pack the right kite sizes.
If you prefer to travel light, we offer equipment rental in all sizes at preferential rates for our S2AS participants, subject to availability. While Tarifa isn’t known for flat lagoons, it offers long stretches of open beach with both flat water and rolling waves, depending on wind direction and the spot. Whether you're progressing on twin-tip, trying a surfboard, or even hydrofoiling, Tarifa’s variety has something for every style.
