The S2AS Team only heads to the world’s top kitesurf spots—at exactly the right time of year. August is prime time to ride in Le Morne, Mauritius, with consistent trade winds and warm, tropical conditions. In the Indian Ocean, you’ll enjoy water temps between 24–27°C, perfect for riding in board shorts or a shorty.

In the evening, we also like to go to the nearby town of La Gaulette, and share with you what all the local restaurants and bars have to offer.

KITE SIZES AND CONDITIONS IN Mauritius:
An intermediate male adult (80kg) ideally needs 7qm – 12qm. Most often you will need a 9m kite. Look at the wind forecast for Hurghada kitesurfing spot a few days before departure to bring the right size kite.
Equipment rental of all sizes at preferential rates for our participants is also possible on the spot, depending on availabilty.
The immense lagoon of Le Morne provides clear, flat water and never deeper than knees to chest height. Hydro-foiling or wave riding is also possible in deeper water outside of the lagoon.
