The latest kiting innovations from the industry-leading brand Core are put together in their brand new kitesurfing kite the XR7! Part of Core's Universal+ Series the XR7 has a unique design that allows it to perform in all conditions and disciplines. Carrying across the incredible power, the unbelievable wind range the XR series is renowned for, the new XR7 receives some impressive handling upgrades allowing it to turn smoother, be more playful in the air and now boost even higher!
With over fourteen years of development and many hundreds of prototypes tested in order to develop the Core XR's signature ride, the 7th model in the series is an astounding feat of engineering. Core will never release a new version of a kite until they are absolutely certain that they have made the considerable improvements necessary to warrant replacing one of their kites, hence why there is often over 2 years between releases which also ensures that any Core kitesurfing kite will also hold a greater monetary value!
Moreover, Frank Ilfrich, Core's head designer, knows how important it is not to lose the DNA that made the XR series what it is today and his team has succeeded again. The XR's linear responsiveness continues to deliver effortless cruising, record-breaking hangtime, and super smooth landings.
XR7 sports more precise flight control and a new lighter build. After six years, Core's signature canopy material receives a major upgrade. CoreTex 2.0 now features massively improved tear resistance in both directions, weight savings making the kite almost 10% lighter, and a new emulsion that improves flight, durability, and longevity. The overall lighter construction is also due to the ExoTex Light Struts, a marginally lighter canopy along with the iterational shape and bridle improvements.
The Bridle connection points and Strut geometry have been revised, small but crucial adjustments allow for even more control in high end, higher airspeed and better upwind capabilities, more pop and faster spin!
The XR's legendary linear responsiveness continues to deliver effortless cruising, record-breaking hangtime, and super smooth landings. After seven generations, Core have dialed in the characteristics most kiters are looking for. Prodigious power. Unbelievable depower. And precise control on the water as in the air.
Core's proven fabrics – CoreTex 2.0 and ExoTex – are exclusively used on the canopy and leading edge. Lead designer, Frank Ilfrich, went over every small detail and found weight savings in the leading edge, extra speed in the canopy, and efficiency improvements to our Speed Pump System. Frank and his team modified the strut curves to extract more stability especially when powered. The additional strut rigidity (and low-end grunt) required a small adjustment to the CIT bridle points to add a little more power steering.

Coretex® 2.0 Triple Ripstop Canopy: Core’s industry-leading triple ripstop canopy has just gotten even better. A 8% lighter canopy fabric that has hugely improved tear resistance, added stiffness and improved durability. A new coating process aids the stability in higher winds and jumps. CoreTex 2.0 sets the standard in breaking strength, tear resistance, longevity, and UV protection. Feel the crisp signature fabric that is only available with CoreTex.
Exotex® Light Struts: After extensive testing and evaluation Core have replaced the Exotex strut material with Exotex Light, a super tough yet even lighter version of their airframe material. Having already been tested for 2 years, you can we confident in this upgrade and feel a much quicker kite under your control.
Intelligent Arc: Designed to anticipate your desires in the air, by changing the projected area more up to more than 10%, pull on the bar and the kite spreads out its tips like wings, push it away and the kite pulls back in. Speed Valve 2: The Speed Valve 2 connects directly to any standard 20mm OD twist lock pump hose. The Speed Valve 2 maximizes airflow, minimizes inflation times and noticeably reduces pump pressure. This inflation/deflation system is so good you may even have the energy for an extra trick or two.

Returns
You must notify Surface 2 Air Sports of your intent to return an item within 14 days of the order date.
To initiate a return, please email Info@s2as.com within this 14-day period. Once we receive your request, we will email you return instructions and a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Approved returns must be shipped back to us within 30 days of the order date.
Return eligibility
- The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition.
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- A valid Return Authorisation (RA) number must be included with your return.
Return shipping
All returns must be sent back to us at the buyer’s cost. We do not provide prepaid return labels, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Returns requested after 14 days from the order date, items shipped after 30 days from the order date, or returns sent without an RA number may not be accepted.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method. A 2% refund processing fee will be deducted from all refunds.
Refund processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error on our part.
