The Mega K is the most versatile wing in the Shinn range.
Originally designed with Surf and SUP in mind it’s also proved to be exceptionally well suited to kite-foiling in waves and in extreme light winds. With a surprisingly high top speed for a wing of this size and yet still un-believable low speed starting (as low as 8 kph) the Mega K leads us down the path of multi-discipline wings. This season sees a massive performance increase thanks to our new hi-modulus carbon S20.1 stabiliser. Taking on board the lessons learnt during the development of the K2 foil this new stabiliser improves on speed range and pitch stability whilst carving like you can’t believe.
By offering the Model Mega K with Carbon composite mast Shinn have made incredible improvements. Not happy to simply produce a "black" foil Shinn Kiteboarding needed every to work in perfect harmony, carbon foils offer so much more stiffness (at a lighter weight) than their aluminium counterparts. During foiling the rider is up to 1 metre above the foil, it’s long distance control, 1cm of flex at wing level is magnified by a factor of X to where you stand – imagine trying to push a button with a 1m long flexible stick or driving a car with flat tyres, each control input you make is magnified and delayed causing instability and even the most talented riders to wobble. If your serious about foiling and want to raise your game to the next level carbon is the only way forwards.
Designed to provide lift at low speeds and yet retain enough top end to keep it fun the Mega K provides stability and manoeuvrability making it perfect for SUP, SURF or Kitewave foiling in small to medium sized waves. Utilizing a low to mid aspect ratio wing with a high rake delta outline has allowed us to provide the massive speed range needed to handle both starting and control on the wave face. The main wings blended winglets work with the flat stabiliser to give great directional stability without limiting the carving potential even at crazy slow speeds. Built using proprietary hi-modulus, multi-axial carbon sandwich construction and featuring an innovative new Hollow-Tech integrated mounting plate with fast mount slide on/off fasteners. This foil uses a dedicated fuselage but is compatible with all existing Shinn wings and stabilisers.
So why do we recommend the Mega K for extreme light wind kiting as well? Low speed starting is the key where the challenge is to generate enough speed to start foiling. With the Mega K the power needed to water start is already enough to fly and with a top speed in excess of 35 kph you’ll be cruising when even other foilers are left sitting on the beach.
People often ask us at S2AS if it makes sense to have a carbon foil mast and our answer is always "unless you want to spend the money don’t test one as once you try one you will never go back!"

Refund & Returns Policy

Returns
You must notify Surface 2 Air Sports of your intent to return an item within 14 days of the order date.
To initiate a return, please email Info@s2as.com within this 14-day period. Once we receive your request, we will email you return instructions and a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Approved returns must be shipped back to us within 30 days of the order date.
Return eligibility
- The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition.
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- A valid Return Authorisation (RA) number must be included with your return.
Return shipping
All returns must be sent back to us at the buyer’s cost. We do not provide prepaid return labels, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Returns requested after 14 days from the order date, items shipped after 30 days from the order date, or returns sent without an RA number may not be accepted.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method. A 2% refund processing fee will be deducted from all refunds.
Refund processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error on our part.
