Key Characteristics of Beginner Kites:
-
Stability: Prioritize stability to provide a steady and predictable flight experience. This stability is essential for building confidence and allowing riders to focus on mastering basic skills without the unpredictability of more advanced kites.
-
Easy Relaunch: This feature is crucial for beginners who may experience crashes while learning to control the kite. Easy relaunch capability ensures less downtime and more time spent riding.
-
Predictable Power Delivery: These kites offer a smooth and predictable power delivery, avoiding sudden and uncontrollable surges of power. This trait assists beginners in retaining control and steadily developing their skills without feeling overwhelmed.
-
User-Friendly Control Systems: Often come with simplified control systems that are easy for novices to understand and operate. These systems typically feature fewer lines and user-friendly safety mechanisms for added confidence.
Considerations When Choosing a Beginner Kite:
-
Size: Opt for a kite size that matches your body weight and local wind conditions. A slightly larger kite can provide more stability and forgiveness for beginners.
-
Safety Features: Look for kites with robust safety features, such as quick-release systems and effective depower mechanisms. These features enhance safety and allow beginners to manage the power of the kite easily.
-
Durability: Beginner kites ought to be constructed to endure the unavoidable crashes that accompany the learning process. Durable materials and reinforced construction contribute to the longevity of the kite.
-
Ease of Learning: Choose a kite that facilitates a smooth learning curve. Beginner-friendly kites encourage skill development and progression, helping riders advance to more advanced maneuvers at their own pace.
Beginner kites are the foundation of a successful kitesurfing journey, offering stability, ease of use, and the confidence-building features needed for new riders. Unreliable
I ordered express delivery 24 hours a day and after two days they didn't even process the order. Didn't respond to contact attempts. They only responded when buyer protection contacted us via PayPal. Stay away!!!
I spoke with Ollie from S2AS and he was brilliant. Gave me great advice and helped me build an excellent starter wing foil package with top gear. Thanks for the advice!

Lovely soft and warm hoodie, with a great design that washes well.

Wore it for a 3 hour windsurfing session and it was so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Love this as an extra layer, it’s nice and stretchy and definitely helps keep the chill off!

These boots are so gorgeous - stiff for first time out off the dock but then did not notice this afterwards. The boots are so comfortable and very supportive! Love the colour and just goes so well with my board
Go up half a size - so if you are a 6 go to a 6.5
Thankyou S2AS for your help and fantastic service

Best helmet I've owned over the past 10 years

Excellent delivery of a quality product

Quality product and great service as always from the S2AS guys

I've been riding the same boots for over 7 years and have finally decided to upgrade. I've been loving these boots, they have a squishy comfy sole and the shoe laces keep my feet nicely held down. I have wide feet so I usually go a shoe size larger than my actual size but for this boot I didn't have to, this is not because the boot is super wide its just because the provided sole has room to mould to shape.
Only thing I wish they improved was the power strap on the front, its far too big for me to get a proper secure hold, however this is something that a little trimming and sowing back together can fix. :)
