2023 Ronix Atmos Cable Wakeboard
A new adaptive soft flexing cable board.
THE PEACOCK BROTHER'S PRESENT
A series for a rider that wants the best of both extra snap and feel in their park board.
Ronix took general design aspects of our popular Top Notch Pro series and added a first in cable boards–a spine. Typically, we will put vertical wood in specific pockets for strength, then have horizontal wood in other areas for added feel and more exaggerated presses. We developed a new spine where the strength runs the way a stringer does on a surfer, from tip to tail, then leaves the majority of the outer surface area with much softer horizontal wood. With the Ronix Atmos Wakeboard you have a pivot point running the length of the board, not just in certain pockets, allowing most of the board to comply from side to side. Ronix are proud to work with Ryan and Liam Peacock on a construction that will melt on rails in a way you have never experienced all without scarifying the durability to take on anything in its path. Bigger ollies, easier transfers, and our most conforming side-to-side flex–the Ronix Atmos wakeboard 2023.
Ronix Atmos Features:
- Riding Style
- Park | Advanced I Intermediate
- Construction
- Vertical Wood/Horizontal Wood
- Rocker
- Continuous
- Flex
- Spine Flex
Our softest outside flex but fused with a center that will provide a resistance point in your presses.
FLEX RATING
We have a flex testing machine that can gauge the recoil of a board. The higher the number - the more the board will want to react back to its original rocker line. While the smaller number means the board will be softer and more compliant on rails.
HOW MUCH DOES IT FLEX?
Some boards are more adaptive on the water and features with a softer flex pattern. Others feel more secure and stable but aren’t as adaptive on rails.
WHERE DOES IT FLEX?
Where the board flexes is a personal preference that will come over time. Most of our cable boards have a leverage point where a certain part of the board compresses until the fulcrum kicks in with snapback. The most common 4 flex patterns are…
TIP/TAIL
These riders want a traditional mid-section and extra pliable ends for more of a locked-in feel on tip/tail presses and extra snap rebounding out of the press. This series allows a rider to exaggerate their press with the softest flex numbers in the tip/tail – but as the press gains a high degree of an angle the centre of the board prevents it from folding over.
CENTER
The Kinetik Project Flexbox 1 has a super soft belly but the rigid tip/tail gives more snap off a feature and on-air tricks. This series allows a rider to exaggerate their press with the lowest flex numbers in the centre – but as the press builds because soft midsection then the traditional tip/tail prevents the board from folding over. For the rider that wants the biggest sweet spot with the most contact on rails.
SPINE/TORSIONAL
Our latest flex pattern development has the softest outside flex, fused with a centre spine that will provide a resistance point on a press. The strength runs the way a stringer does on a surfer, from tip to tail then leaves the majority of the outer surface area with much softer horizontal wood. With the Atmos you have a picot point running the length of the board, not just in certain pockets, allowing most of the board to comply from side to side with greater ease.
ALL OVER
For the rider that wants the whole board to bend – creating the most surface area on a rail. The Women’s Spring Break board has a constant flex pattern running the entire surface area of the board. It might not snap back like our other flex patterns but it will really melt on rails with a really exaggerated press-on rails.
