Wakeboard Helmets - what should you look for?
Choosing the best wakeboard helmet involves considering several factors such as safety certifications, fit, comfort, and additional features. What should you look for when trying to find a helmet?
Comfort: The helmet should be reasonably snug fitting covering your forehead and the rear of your head. Look for helmets with easy adjustability to suit your head shape and ensure its a great fit.
Protection: The helmets should be CE approved “Conformité Européenne” which is a standard that all the best helmets are judged by. If a product is CE certified, it is a great helmet and will protect you on impact.
Ventilation: This is a luxury to have on your helmet in the heat of summer. Helmets with efficient ventilation will keep your sessions going longer.
Materials: High-density ABS plastic, polycarbonate, or composite materials are preferred for the outer shell. The inner foam should be EPS (expanded polystyrene) for effective impact absorption.
Construction: Look for sturdy construction with a durable shell and secure attachment of all components.
Additional Features: Check for any additional features that will make the helmet more usable.

One of the best helmets on the market at the moment - The Mystic Vandal Pro. Crafted from ABS Shell to handle high impact. Comfort was big on Mystic's list, and the Vandal Pro is extra lightweight due to the EPP impact foam, which doesn't absorb any water. The inside has an ergonomic shape, mesh comfort lining and an adjustable 360 dial, a unique feature that fastens the helmet around the entirety of your head instead of just the back. The Fidlock closure is magnetic, making for a quick release to round off this CE-approved helmet.
