THE BRAND

O’Neill is the original Californian surf, snow and youth lifestyle brand. It was founded in 1952 when a young man named Jack O’Neill took his unstoppable passion for surfing and used it to beat Mother Nature at her own game. Pioneering the first neoprene surfing wetsuit, Jack had successfully found a way to extend his surf sessions in the bone-chilling breaks of Northern California. He opened up the garage doors to his first surf shop in Santa Cruz soon after.

AREA 52 in Santa Cruz is O’Neill’s exclusive R&D research facility is staffed with full time engineering, design and prototyping teams who work closely with the best water based athletes to push the limits of wetsuit technology. AREA 52 allows O’Neill to hand-build and refine multiple rounds of prototypes in the same fashion that Jack himself pioneered over sixty years ago. Extensive prototyping, fit checks and testing in frigid waters of Northern California provides unparalleled insight when creating the best fitting and most functional wetsuits. With over 60 years and countless industry firsts later, O’Neill’s commitment to leading innovation continues more strongly than ever.

WHAT’S NEW

Our warmest, top of the range TechnoButter 2 (TB2) has been filtered down the collection to feature in more styles than ever before, plus we are continuing to offer our team-developed TBX neoprene in the HyperFreak Comp Series. TBX is the lightest, most flexible neoprene in the O’Neill collection.

Then for 2016 O’Neill will be offering a wide array of unique UV protection products that keep you sheltered from the sun both in and out of the water. As well as the UV line we are also introducing our new Compression Series which provides base layer support for your more active muscle groups.
