Core Kites are some of the best kites on the market today. Their team are positioned 1 2 3 4 on the Woo Leaderboards for highest jump, which says something. Keeping their range of kites small means it’s easier to choose a kite that’s perfect for you. The XR series is their wonder kite. Performance Freeride, Wave Riding, and even a touch of Race. The Nexus is Core's flagship Wave Kite, but also is part freestyle/freeride, which is great for the guys that want to do a bit of everything. The GTS series is the Freestyle machine from Core. Excelling in freestyle, the GTS also handles wave and freeride exceptionally well. Give us a call on 01202 738448 to demo a kite, or pop in store and we can run you through the range!

Take a look at the new Core Fusion 5 Kitesurfing Board at S2AS!

A mission-ready twintip for all your adventures is just a click away. New from the water up, the Fusion 5 features an upgraded hull, wood core, and never-been-done-before rail construction. The new shape and improved torsional stability will have you woohoo-ing like never before.

Core have developed a real cross-ride board that covers all aspects of kitesurfing without compromising on any of them. The Fusion 5 (V) is ideal for all-levels of riders and will develop your riding as you continue to improve.

Core have added an internal thermoset resin rail which massively improves the connection between the top and bottom Cartan carbon laminates for a proper unibody build. We reduced our Paulownia wood core's weight by switching to lighter laminated Paulownia, saving approximately 250g. We added a grab rail for the freestylers. And we improved the channels and outline for the freeriders.

Jump on the Fusion 5 and have incredible good sessions.

Technologies:

Cartan® Carbon: CORE's proprietary 30° biaxial carbon fiber weave optimizes torsional and longitudinal flex for a unique riding experience. Effectively this means more flex along the length of the board with less flex across the board (edge to edge) to smoother upwind capability and a more ease in loading up. The high filament count of the carbon also requires less resin meaning a lighter finished product

Unibody Edge: High end racing ski sidewall technology has found it’s way into twintip kiteboards! A more complete foil, carbon and resin process improves the connection between the top and bottom sheets of Cartan carbon for a truly unified construction. Replacing traditional ABS with a new 80 layer laminated, resin-activated strip, that is harder, stiffer and bonds even better, producing improved torsional rigidity as well as a board that is more capable of storing energy before release.

Lighter 3D Wood Core: A powerfully light and marine-grade, laminated wood core. Core have selection the lowest weight laminations before gluing them, to save a 250g of weight that is even stronger tha before. This 3D core gives the board dimensional stability, decay resistance and a dramatically powerful character.

New Multi-Channels: A massive double concave centre channel and smaller outer channel follow the length if the board providing extra depth for the V-Keel and incredible grip/ In addition to the centre channel, Core have added Quattro tip channels. Freestyle kiters can load the board more than ever before, whilst freeriders will enjoy unlimited upwind potential.

Katana Channels: The perfect combo of tip flex and stiffness. Continuing the same contours of the bottom tip channel into the top deck adds stiffness to better store and release energy when loading up the edge.

Beveled Deck: A 6° bevelled deck edge from tip to tip that blends into the Katana channels. This bevel decreases longitudinal flex for more pop, reduced reverse flex and more powerful edging capabilities.

Tucked Under Rails: A tucked under bottom rail between the straps that transitions to a box edge near the outer inserts. From there, the rail thins out to a sharper edge at the tips. The tucked under rail softens the ride and improves water flow, whereas the sharper tip edges add more bite.

V-Shaped Keel: Inspired by the legendary handling of deep V powerboats in rough waters, Core added a deep V-shaped keel along the entire length of the board to penertrate chop and smooth your ride.

Vee Rocker: The Fusion 5’s rocker is more pronounced under your feet and progressively reduces towards the tips.

48mm G10 Cutback Fins: A perfect balance between tracking and freestyle magic. The impact-resistant G10 fiberglass fins have just the right amount of tracking stability without getting too much in the way of switches

The all-new Core Nexus 3 ( White)

Now available at S2AS !

Give us a call at 01202738448, if you want to know more about the new Core Nexus 3 kitesurfing kite!!

Perfect all round kite from Core Kiteboarding!

The Core Nexus 3 kite has become one of the most popular kites over the years and here at S2AS we feel one of the best all round kites we have ever tested - not only at Core Kiteboarding but also at many kitesurfing spots we go to - and that’s for a good reason. The Core Nexus is the perfect all-around kite that excels in every discipline. Relaxed freeriding, juicy big air session, unhooked freestyle tricks, chasing the next wave or on light wind days with the foil - the Nexus 3 offers you maximum time and fun on the water! In our local area this is by far the most popular kite you will see on the water here in Poole, Dorset and most of the UK to be fair.

The Nexus 2 was already so popular, the question is what can be changed and improved on such a good kite, but Core has developed the kite a lot further. However, the original Nexus character remains intact. This means that the kite is still accessible to everyone, is fun in all disciplines, is easy to relaunch, turn and has direct steering. So, what's new? Core has used two new materials in the Nexus 3: the Core Tex 2 flight cloth, which was already used in the XR7, and the completely new Exo Tex 2 Dacron, which is used for the first time. The Core Tex 2 canopy is much stiffer, especially due to a completely new coating. This means that the kite is much more stable in the sky. The Exo Tex 2 Dacron is the next step from the previous Dacrons used by Core. Exo Tex 2 is significantly more tear-resistant - up to 80% compared to the Nexus 2. The new Exo Tex 2 is also stiffer. This gives the Nexus 3 an even more solid and stable frame. This further increases flight stability. Slight adjustments were made to the leading edge and the bridle lines so that the Nexus 3 remains agile and fast in response. The manoeuvrability has been maintained, which makes the Nexus 3 a very good kite in waves and on the foil. So, Core was able to improve the Nexus 3 significantly without sacrificing performance in the other areas.

A big plus of the Nexus 3 is the accessibility of the kite: everyone can have fun with this kite! It doesn't matter whether you're just starting your kite career, pulling kite loops or landing freestyle handle passes. For beginners, the Nexus 3 offers a fast relaunch and easy handling combined with high versatility. No matter which direction you want to go later - the Nexus 3 will not disappoint you.

The Core Nexus 3 has various trim options. The kite is already really fun in all disciplines in the standard-setting. In addition, you can choose two other trim options. The CIT - Core Intelligent Trim Options increase the variety even further, as you can choose between the Wave, Freeride and Freestyle settings. You can also adjust the bar pressure using the attachment points on the steering lines. So, you can adapt the Nexus 3 to your needs.

With the Nexus 3, Core has taken another significant step forward and further improved the already very good all-round kite - new, better materials, higher flight stability and robustness, great versatility and easy handling for beginners to professionals - no wonder that the Nexus kite over has become such a popular kite over the years and the Nexus 3 is no exception!

Get your kite session and bring a smile to your face with the new Nexus 3 kite from Core.

Features

Allround | Freestyle | foil

3 struts

new: Core Tex 2 canopy

new: Exo Tex 2 Dacron

Future-C Shape

High Y

Core Intelligent Trim System

Ultra short bridle lines

Grintex patches

Speed pump system

Fast relaunch

High flight stability

Large wind range

Take a look at the new Core XLITE 2 Kitesurfing Kite at S2AS!

The XLITE 2 answers the call for a dedicated, high-performance foil kite. A no-compromise one strut inflatable with features unique to the niche discipline of foiling. 30% lighter than our fantastic Universal+ Series Nexus, the XLITE 2 drifts in virtually no wind and will stay in the sky even when pumping through a lull.

The big news is Core have replaced the canopy with CoreTex 2.0 and expanded the sizes on both ends. The new canopy material adds more muscle and durability -a big plus- for single strut kites. Core added 2 and 3-meter sizes for slicing up the Gorge and a 13.5m for those super-light summer breezes. It wasn’t easy to shrink the XLITE 2 so we heavily modified the bridle, panels, and shape to accommodate the new smaller sizes.

Designed specifically for Core's Specialized Series; banner a unique line of products designed to fulfil a sole purpose and with the Xlite 2 kite, that purpose is to be a truly outstanding, no compromise one strut inflatable kite with features specific to the unique discipline of foiling!

One of the defining attributes of foiling is the ability to go kiting in conditions that would be unavailable to a traditional twintip or wave kiteboard, and in order to achieve this, a specialized kite is required, enter the Xlite 2! Originating as a hybrid of two specific Core kites; the Section and the Nexus, by utilising the phenomenal wave properties of the Section with the power of the Nexus in super light winds! The Xlite 2 is a kite that can be both sized down and with an increased canopy aspect ratio to ensure that the kite stays ahead of the foil.

In order, to achieve these incredible properties the Xlite 2 went through a comprehensive lightweighting program in order to shed an incredible 10% in weight, for a kite that allows riders to still foil in 8-10 knots! To achieve this incredible weight reduction Core experimented with new leading edge materials and bridles until they were completely satisfied, settling with the CoreTex canopy for added support and power to the one strut design, ExoTex Light leading edge for a strong dacron material that is 10% lighter and lastly a thinner, anti-snag bridle that further reduces weight and improves water relaunching.

With perfect kite balance and super direct bar feel, the Xlite makes learning new moves a blast!

Key Features:

Future C-Shape: True C-kite feel. For snappy turns with a controlled and consistent pull.

CIT Modes: Fully adjustable kite handling characteristics. Wave mode makes the kite turn faster and increases depower, whilst Freestyle increases the trun radius and stabilizes the kite and adds a little extra grunt. The Xlite 2 comes out of bag in the Allround mode that sits nicely between the two

One Strut Light Frame: Delivering vastly superior light wind control versus strutless canopy due to reduced canopy flutter, along with offering greater water relaunching capabilites ideal for thise light wind conditions

Exotex® Light Ultra Rigid Dacron: Zero stretch airframe utilising a radical reinforcing thread pattern and protective coating process that allows for a higher pressure with a smaller diameter

Coretex® Triple Ripstop Canopy: Extreme durability and UV protection setting the benchmark for longevity and tear resistance

LW Profile: Generating power and speed with a shifted back camber for improved drifting. Alway feel in total control whether bearing downwinf of carving jibes

Ultrashort Bridle System: Improved kite feedback.

Instant Relaunch: Reliable water starts in difficult conditions.

Speed Valve 2: The Speed Valve 2 connects directly to any standard 20mm OD twist lock pump hose.
Take a look at the new Core XR7 LW Kitesurfing Kite at S2AS!

High Performance Freeride+ | Freestyle | Wave

Everyone in kiting has experienced those days when the wind just tempts us. The XR7 LW takes out the guesswork of whether or not you can ride, because you with this kite you most certainly can!

More muscle, less weight! This is the new XR7 LW. The trusty lightwind performer that brings out the best of you. The XR7 LW inherits all the power and ridiculous wind range of the legendary XR7 while receiving noticeable weight-saving upgrades like ExoTex Light struts and leading edge. And Core swapped out the canopy material for CoreTex 2.0 that gives the XR7 LW more punch.

With over fourteen years of development and many hundreds of prototypes tested in order to develop the Core XR's signature ride, the 7th model in the series is an astounding feat of engineering. Core will never realise a new version of a kite until they are absolutely certain that they have made the considerable improvements necessary to warrant replacing one of their kites, hence why there is often over 2 years between releases which also ensures that any Core kitesurfing kite will also hold a greater monetary value!

Moreover, Frank Ilfrich, Core's head designer, knows how important it is not to lose the DNA that made the XR series what it is today and his team has succeeded again. The XR's linear responsiveness continues to deliver effortless cruising, record-breaking hangtime, and super smooth landings.

The XR7 LW’s DNA is packed with innovative technology like CoreTex 2.0, ExoTex Light, and Intelligent Arc that supercharges its performance. CoreTex 2.0 improves tear resistance, durability, and most importantly flight stability. CORE’s exclusive ExoTex Light Dacron reduces leading edge weight while maintaining its shape in gusts. And Intelligent Arc massively expands its wind range. We could go on, but we prefer that you find out for yourself how you and your squadron can rule the light wind skies with the XR7 LW.

The Bridle connection points and Strut geometry have been revised, small but crucial adjustments allow for even more control in high end, higher airspeed and better upwind capabilities, more pop and faster spin!

The XR's legendary linear responsiveness continues to deliver effortless cruising, record-breaking hangtime, and super smooth landings. And precise control on the water as in the air.

Core's proven fabrics – CoreTex and ExoTex – are exclusively used on the canopy and leading edge. Lead designer, Frank Ilfrich, went over every small detail and found weight savings in the leading edge, extra speed in the canopy, and efficiency improvements to our Speed Pump System. Frank and his team modified the strut curves to extract more stability especially when powered. The additional strut rigidity (and low-end grunt) required a small adjustment to the CIT bridle points to add a little more power steering.

Lastly, it is always important to remember that Core holds stock of all spare parts for an industry-leading six years so that if the worst might ever happen to your new XR7 Kite you can rest easy knowing that Core will be able to help you out!

What's stopping you from getting out on one the world's best kitesurfing kites, the new Core XR7!

With over fourteen years of development and many hundreds of prototypes tested in order to develop the Core XR's signature ride, the 7th model in the series is an astounding feat of engineering. The closed cell PU or plyurethane foam blanks are the only choices for a custom board. The PU can be precisely shaped with a CNC milling machine and is water resistant too, giving the board the bombproof construction it needs when taking impact after impact from strapless freestyle.

Coming in smaller sizes than a conventional surfboard, the flatter rocker and more parallel shape planes faster than the Ripper 4, so it has plenty of drive through the water to give you the speed to load this weapon up!

Features:

- Active Foam Core: Core only use the best closed cell PU foam that prevents waterlogging even when punctured and allows the board to be precisely shaped for superior flex
- Classic Glass Coat: Multi-layer fiberglass and resin process delivers precisely tuned rails, a classic surf feel and a softer less flexible ride with less bounce
- Ultra Compact Shape: A lower mass and swing weight for stylish aerials and rotations
- Flat Rocker: The flattest rocker of all the Core diorectional kiteboards, the 720 might be slow to start but once its going it is even faster than the Ripper! A heavy dose of rocker in the nose also makes it ideal for toeside riding and big steep waves
- 3D Hull: A double concave hull that cuts through chop and holds its grip. Nose channels have been added for those fakie riders aswell
- Round Winger Tail: Improves the water release on take-off
- Wood Stringer: A wood stringer is inlaid vertically along the full length of the board to manage flex, it is then laminated to the fiberglass skin for a durable deck and Core pro surf feel
- Thruster Fin Setup: The Ripper continues with the classic three fin thruster setup for a looser feel. Thrusters are well known to turn tighter than quads and release easier for cleaner moves off the lip.
- Original FCS II Fin Setup: Core carries over the Original FCS II fin box system on the Ripper 3. FCS II is the keyless fin system that enables 2-second fin changes without tools. It’s wise to stick with the global standard in fin boxes for the day you lose a fin on your favourite reef. Because it’s backward compatible (in that it still retains grub screws to secure any old FCS fin you or your friends may have), you will be back on the water in no time.

Sizes:

- 4'11"x17 5/8"x1 7/8" (21L)
- 5'1"x18 1/8"x2" (22L)
- 5'3"x18 3/8"x2 1/16" (23L)

Take a look at the Core Green Room Kite Surfboard with S2AS!

Are big waves your thing? The draw of pulling into that overhead drop is beaten by nothing else, apart from knowing that the board under your feet is going to make that steep drop is comfortable and acheiveable as possible!

The Green Room from Core has a polyurethane foam and glass construction which allows for a precise and fine tuned rails and rocker for exceptional speed and agility. The Green Room is noticeably narrower and less in volume than the other boards in the Core range and features a rounded pin tail which is designed specifically to offer less lift. This means as the board gathers speed down the face of the wave it is'nt trying to lift up and away from the water, but drive in hard on it's rail.

This is a kite surfboard that isn't aimed at the all rounder, this is a big wave machine that will take advanced wave riders to the next level, and you will quickly find yourself on top of a product that can take you into the most challenging conditions in comfort.

- Round Pin Tail: Offers maximum traction and control at speed due to it riding deeper. The pronouced tail kick promotes carving controlla dn also reduces pearling
- Big Wave Outline: With less volume and width, the Green Room tames big waves with confidence and inspring high speed bottom turns, excellent acceleration and grip on the wavefront
- 3D Hull: A light single concave hull that transitions into a Vee towards the tail, ideal for tight controlled bottom turns on big waves
- Double Stringer: A laminated wood stringer is inlaid along the full length of the board to manage longitudinal flex and give the Ripper its signature feel, a second wood stringer is then laid horizontally to accept strap inserts
- Tucked Under Rails: The hand shaped rails feature a new thinner, sharper, “tucked under” rail design that releases water better yet maintains the classic smooth and forgiving ride you’d expect from a glass board. The central 60/40 tucked under rail transitions seamlessly into a hard tail rail to provide greater maneuverability.
- Single Concave: Improves lift and adds grip to the turns
- Strap Ready: Fitted with V4A inserts to recieve optional Core straps in your favourite stance position
- Blunt Nose: Core file it off because, in the long run, our trademark blunt nose is safer, more durable, and just plain cool. The Ripper fits in board bags better, travels better and, hopefully, won’t leave a mark.
In contrast to conventional carbon fibres the CARTAN® carbon fibre weave holds the fibres in a performance maximizing 30 degree angle. The result is huge flex properties making take offs both simple and effective. The exclusive use of CARTAN® high-performance carbon allows Core to significantly reduce the thickness of all Fusions, resulting in thin, slightly burred edge allows for precise jumps and relaxed carving.
- Katana Channels: Perfect combination of flex and stiffness, continuing the sames contours of the bottom tip channels into the top deck, also the kitesurfer to better store and release energy generated when loading an edge
- Beveled Deck: A 3/4 length deck channel between the straps that raises the outer deck (or lowers the area between the straps) by 2mm. Bevelling a slight negative slope from the deck channel outwards to the top edge and transitioning the bevel to a box rail near the tips. This results in a reduced rail thickness for a more forgiving ride and also increses flex for more pop
- Tucked under Rails: A tucked under rail between the straps transitions to a box edge near the outer inserts, this rail then sharpens towards the tips. This tucked under rail softens the ride and improves water flow whereas the sharper tip improves bite
- Rail Ready Base: The channels are beveled and countersunk between the bindings to create a perfect sliding platform
- 3D Wood Core: CNC millled, marine grade Paulownia wood gives unmatched stability , excellent composite bonding and a lightweight powerful ride. The unique production process from Core extends the wood core further to the edges for a lighter construction overall
- V-Shaped Keel: Inspired by deep-vee powerboats in rough waters, this design eats chop and smoothes out hard landings
- Multi-Channels: Extreme grip even if you were to ride without fins, four full length deep channels run the full length of the board that reduce drag and improves board speed
- Vario Rails: Offers better control and pop, the Choice 4 features 12mm thick rails near the centre that taper down to 5mm and the tips
- Pro Rocker: A progressive freestyle rocker line, that is most pronounced at the centre of the board and reduces as as it goes outwards to the tips. Individual flex patterns are built into each size to lock the best possible performance. Unique processes that involves varying the lamination thickness helps negate "reverse flex" on landings and helps
- Boot Tough Inserts: Bombproof hold for fixed boot bindings or straps
- 28mm + 42mm G10 Pro Fins

Dimensions:

- 136x42cm
- 139x42.5cm
- 142x42.75cm
